Hemp Protein Powder Summary
Lemon and basil white bean spread – with hemp protein
Ingredients (makes 4 servings)
- 1 can (250g) white beans, rinsed and drained
- 15g (1 heaped tbsp) hemp protein powder (sub natural protein powder)
- 4 tbsp olive oil (or use 2 tbsp of olive oil and 2 tbsp of MCT oil)
- 3 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 garlic clove, roughly chopped
- ½ tsp sea salt (or to taste)
- Black pepper to taste
- Handful of fresh basil leaves
- (for garnish) 10g (1 tbsp) of hemp seeds
Instructions
- Add all ingredients, besides basil leaves and hemp seeds, to a food processor. Blend until smooth. You will have to stop and scrape the sides a couple of times to make sure there are no chunks left. If too thick to your liking, feel free to add an extra tablespoon of oil.
- Taste and adjust salt and pepper if needed.
- Chop fresh basil leaves and mix into the spread with a spoon.
- Transfer to a bowl or jar. Before serving garnish with hemp seeds and (optionally) some fresh basil leaves. Store leftovers in the fridge.
